Why do cataracts form?
A cataract is a buildup of protein on the lens of the eye. Cataracts may affect one eye or both, and tend to develop at a slow pace. Over time, vision may become cloudy because of excess protein. Though cataracts are not a condition that poses an immediate concern, they can be removed at any time the patient feels that the performance of normal tasks is impeded by cataracts.
This study demonstrates how beneficial cataract removal can be for individuals suffering cloudy or blurred vision due to this common eye condition.
Cataract surgery is a highly customized procedure that is planned carefully around each individual patient. Dr. Salib has treated thousands of men and women from the OC and Los Angeles County with a high standard of care through which expectations for long term results are met.
